Some FAQs about Smile / LASIK
- Will it be safe for me in the future?
The surgical procedure is painless and a safe one. Before you undergo the surgery, we at The Eye Infirmiry perform an exhaustive and comprehensive list of tests and investigations for every refractive patient. The test results are then analyzed and interpreted by our Refractive Specialists who then discusses with the patient whether it is safe to undergo the surgery.
- Do I have to go elsewhere for some of these complicated tests?
Most of the tests required for a comprehensive refractive workup are based on latest technology and equipment which may not be available everywhere. Fortunately, at Eye Infirmiry we have everything under one roof. The entire check up for the first time may take upto 2-3 hrs including the time for dilatation of your eyes and retinal examination.
- Why should I choose Eye Infirmiry for undergoing this procedure?
Eye Infirmiry is synonymous with quality eye care, and the team of Refractive Specialist at Eye Infirmiry will strive to give you the best of eye care. To guide you through the process, we have helpful patient coordinators, competent and well-trained technicians, and compassionate counselors who will dispel any doubts you may have. - What if SMILE/ LASIK or PRK is not suitable for me? Can’t I get rid of my glasses?
For the patients whose eyes aren’t suitable for the corneal procedures (LASIK, PRK) we provide other options, which are equally safe and effective. These include like ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) or IPCL or Refractive Lens Exchange.
